Rocket Lab (RKLB) has cemented its role in defense aerospace with the successful suborbital launch of its HASTE rocket, carrying government payloads for missile defense testing. The mission, executed from Wallops Island, Virginia, featured a primary payload from Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab alongside secondary payloads from defense and industry partners.

The launch demonstrates Rocket Lab's ability to deliver on tight timelines—just 14 months after contract signing—bolstering its credibility for future hypersonic and missile defense projects. This marks the sixth HASTE mission since its 2023 debut, aligning with growing U.S. investment in next-generation defense systems.
